Former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil officially reported adult magazine model Lisa Mariana to the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) on April 11, 2025, for alleged defamation and document manipulation.
The report, registered under number STTL/174/IV/2025/BARESKRIM, was filed in response to Lisa’s public claims that she had an affair with Ridwan and bore a child from him, allegations he denies as “malicious slander” driven by financial motives.
Ridwan’s legal team, led by Heribertus Hartojo and Muslim Jaya Butarbutar, cited violations of Indonesia’s Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE No. 1/2024), specifically articles related to spreading false information and defamation.
They presented evidence and witnesses to support the claim, emphasizing a professional and transparent legal process.
Lisa Mariana, a 30-year-old influencer with over 835,000 Instagram followers, alleged a relationship with Ridwan starting in 2021, claiming he paid her Rp 100 million to terminate a pregnancy, which she says she did not do, instead using the money to rent an apartment.
She shared screenshots of conversations, video calls, and claims of monthly payments from Ridwan, which she says stopped eight months prior to her public statements.
Lisa also alleged being pressured to sign a document admitting she fabricated the story, with promises of support for her child’s education that were not fulfilled.
She has sent a legal summons (somasi) to Ridwan for a meeting to resolve the issue and claims to have strong evidence, including for her daughter’s paternity, which she says is not for public consumption.
Ridwan denies any romantic or physical relationship with Lisa, stating their only interaction was a single meeting in 2021 regarding her request for educational assistance.
He claims the issue was resolved four years ago with proof that Lisa was already pregnant at the time of their meeting, and she apologized in front of her family.
Ridwan has expressed readiness to undergo a DNA test to disprove Lisa’s claims, but only under legal direction. His team accuses Lisa of recycling old slander for economic gain, pointing to her press conference on April 11, 2025, in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, and social media posts as attempts to harm his reputation.
The case has sparked significant public attention, with Lisa facing potential penalties of up to 14 years in prison if convicted under the cited laws.
Ridwan’s Instagram account, with over 21 million followers, was reportedly hacked on April 11, 2025, with cryptic posts fueling speculation, though he confirmed the breach. Both sides have urged the public to respect the ongoing legal process and avoid speculation.
